9/11 Ceremony
This year we did a 9/11 concert, we played three songs, I can’t remember all the names of the songs but they were fun and easy to learn, I had no trouble figuring out how to play those songs.

Smart Music Base line
On Smart Music I got a 10%, which is good because I don’t want a high score for my first try at the beginning of the year.

Smart Music Test Reflection
For my smart music scales I didn't do bad but I think with a little more practice I could have done better. For g minor scale 80%, c minor 80%, Eb Major 93%, F Major 93%, d minor 87%, and Bb Major 93%. As I said before, I could have done better but I took what I got and I'm satisfied with that. I don't remember descriptions of the individual scales but I do remember messing up with F# a lot and that I would start earlier than I was supposed to the first couple scales I played. I think I got about half the scales memorized with key signature, like concert Bb Major scale comes really easy to me now that I've played it several hundred times. I think concert Eb is the easiest for me because it has no sharps or flats in its key signature.
Pep Band Reflection
In Pep Band my first year I went 4 games to perform in, I played in 2 required and 2 volunteer. I couldn't play at 2 of the required because I was busy or I was sick during them. Personally I think I deserve an A because I went to 4 games to perform, and I've done all that I was supposed to do. I think Pep Band is more important to the people who attend the games, we might think that we appreciate it the most but the people listening to it enjoy it more. My top three Pep Band songs are Land of a Thousand Dances, Smoke on the Water, and Party Rock. My top three least favorite songs are the Stadium Jams, Lady Gaga Dance Mix, and Rubber Duckie. My top three are my favorite because they sound good, not extremely hard to play so I'm good at them, and we don't practice them too much to point where they get boring. Reasons I don't like the songs I don't like is because we play them often, they're a challenge to play, and I'm not a big fan of the songs in general. The songs that I improved in the most was Crazy Train at measures 5 through 11. I don't know what song I would add to Pep Band but I think we have plenty of songs already and a good majority of them I've never even heard before, I don't know if they were just bad songs all together. |
